And when government arbitrarily decides to "cut costs", the first thing to get hit is R&D. Because when you "cut costs" R&D is no longer worth as much as it was before.
It's much more complicated than that. I'm sure you're aware.

I don't know if you read the TIME magazine feature article from a few months ago called "Bitter Pill: Why Medical Bills Are Killing Us." That's a pretty good article, even if it does lean heavily toward the left.

Have you seen some prescription drug commercials these days that end with, "If you can't afford your medications, SquabbMerlCo may be able to help"? That just strikes me as so disingenuous. OF COURSE you may be able to help. You control the prices on your boutique medication.

Sometimes I wonder if Big Pharma really has a death wish with these dumb-ass PR moves.
