Well, we have gone from MLPs are great investments, to don't hold them in an IRA, to don't hold them forever, or perhaps not at all, to sell calls and puts in your IRA.

I think the tape has run out. Someone needs to thread it through so we can run it again. lol!

I wish that SA article had addressed the situation of reinvesting all distributions and divvies in MLPs. As I understand it, that changes things considerably when it comes to constantly adjusting cost basis and eventual liquidation and ROC calculations since all goes back into the MLP to buy more shares.

FWIW, I am for the first time reconsidering my shoulder-shrugging attitude toward my 6 MLPs, but I am not rushing to shed them... at least not yet...
