They can force anything higher if they so choose. Just as they can take em lower when it suits them. Yet what you want to ask. Is when they have pundit after pundit coming at you at the bottom saying it's going lower then one might want to become a bit concerned when they have the minute by the minute with the all time high stuff.

The reality is the sectors for banks, savings, wall street are to the far right in a bell curve. I mean FAR RIGHT in the 80'S. YUP they can hang there for a while. Yet at some point they roll and the one thing I have learned over years of monitoring sectors is that when they stay to the right for extended periods of time it isn't pretty when they roll.

Add to that comment that the majority are at 64 ish and have been sitting there for an extended period of time that would say to me that when they sell em that will result in a lower number than most want to see or accept.

This is NOT a bearish point of view but the view of a bull that wants to exploit when opportunities present themselves. But first one has to be able to know what area a stock becomes an opportunity and ditto a sector or index. Here and now ol Precious metals has been taken to the shed after PM was to the far right for an EXTENDED period of time. Then they took it out and hammered it for MONTHS.

I will not be surprised to see them do it to the many in the 80's/70's and 60's. The key word being MANY. If it were one sector they could isolate as they did with PM. Took it down while the MANY went up. Except here and now we have ONE down in the 18 and the MANY at 64 avg.

So will we make new highs. OH YEAH.

Are my BAC and JPM making all time highs? NO Got to keep it in perspective.

I agree with you, it looks like this market is ready for another huge leg higher, but when I saw that chart it does make me wonder...

Hmmm, I wonder...
