I call them Conversation Officers up here because all they do is talk. We staked a claim using normal things to define the boundary such as blazing and orange flagging tape on the way out to the road. After a few years I get a call from the Intelligence Service of our local Conservation Branch saying they noticed this claim and were objecting to us using orange flagging tape, after all everyone knows orange flagging tape is for forestry and blue is for mining. He cut me a deal and said he would not force me to remove the orange tape just not to do it again. The only reason they saw the tape was that it came out to a major road, otherwise they would not have left the safe confines of their new trucks to inspect anything. Since then I have used probably two big boxes of orange flagging tape.

The rule book was the mines act and regulations and there was nothing on flagging tape colour in there, I say was because the system changed a few months ago to an online computer based system. Now you can right from Montana and MQ to in New Zealand stake a claim anywhere in the province of Saskatchewan with just a computer. I don't think you even need a credit card just a promise to pay.

In Toronto they spend big dollars on traffic clogging Tramways.. (surface rail) .. Now the city is asking the public what are the worst causes of city gridlock .. TRAMCARS is a TOP ANSWER... we just spent billions (killing small biz) and more dollars foretasted to make the new cars wheelchair accessible.. Wheelchair access not a issue for me.. it's great.. but our buses all offer that already.. why not just use buses .. In Toronto when a Tram stops it blocks ALL lanes.. buses block one lane or none if there is a pull in ... Governments can't spend money properly.. I think I'm becoming American..

Oh second worst.. Red light runners.. I agree on both.. so if this is what the public wants why don't we have it ? It's really not the people that are stupid after all.. just that government is small minded, petty and venal.. and good at tricking us at election time..maybe.. ? but really they are all the same.. we are captives of the system...
