Maybe I should have tried complaining, but I just figure I got what I deserved, leaving the door open and all. Short story: My niece was going to NYC with her dance troop. Her mom and dad gave her all the warnings: don't go out alone, keep an eye on your pocketbook, credit card, cell phone, etc... She gets home Sunday. Mom goes to pick her up, parks at the edge of the mall and walks across the street to the dance studio. Upon returning to the car ten minutes later realizes she hadn't locked the car or taken her purse along. Yep, all gone! Now that's a real life lesson if I ever saw one!
