It's not just the deductible Steve, there a lot of out of pocket expenses not covered by insurance. Hell, we go to the dentist twice a year for cleanings and try to keep up with maintenance. Each of us needed some work done, cost us two grand. Contacts or eye glasses? That day is coming for them. ... Ha!

Anyone with ongoing prescription drugs is going to tell you what that cost.

What about the potential drunk or careless driver that might run into you and disables you? A lot of out of pocket expenses there, and an inability to go back to work.

As they get older, the rates rise. I know mine do.

What about inflation? Rents rise, utility bills rise, food costs rise, everything rises.

As Bill Cosby would say, they are brain damaged. They don't think anything bad will happen. They extrapolate today's costs and think that's a good business plan.
