Mike, what is your source for 80-90% of APM's biz comes from WDC? Don't believe everything you read on these threads, and certainly don't go around spreading it.

What is the source for this? 80 to 90% of APM biz is from WDC

Someone else posted the volume production is already taking place, unless I misread it.

It is possible that the APM-WDC duo is operating in sync, i.e., WDC might have waited until APM could produce MR and GMR in volume? This might bode well for APM because it has a guaranteed customer for the advanced technology.

APM states in its SeptQ: The MR-wafer-fab-clean-room expansions currently underway will be completed and fully equipped by April 1998, as the company transitions during fiscal year 1998 to higher volume production of MR products.

This shows that APM is already producing MR in volume and its higher volume production will start by April 1998.
