If you knew you were going away from internet access for a long while (multiple weeks) and you wanted to pre-load a lot of movies, music, books, pictures, video, documents, etc... then, maybe a 32Gb will come useful. But with internet and wifi nearly ubiquitous now, I would say it is a very low probability that you will be away from internet access for more than a full day. Also if you wanted to have lots of games loaded that take a lot of space 32Gb will make sense.
