4/5/13 Contest Update Stocks had a hard time this week, with the bleak Friday jobs report further discouraging investors. But, not too worry. Once those multi-trillions stashed in secret offshore bank accounts flee back to the safety of U.S. banks, it will be party time on Wall Street again. nytimes.com At Friday’s close, the Contest median was up 15.82% YTD (vs. up 17.16% YTD at last week’s close), while the Nasdaq Biotech Index was up 16.69% (vs. up 16.67% YTD at last week’s close) and the Nasdaq Composite Index was up 6.11% YTD (vs. up 8.21% YTD at last week’s close). RKRW’s portfolio, up 39.52% YTD, held on to first place, but second place BLADE’s portfolio, up 38.53% YTD, is within striking distance. FILO’s portfolio, up 34.57% YTD, remained in third place. At Friday's close, 34 of the 39 Contest portfolios were in the black with just 17 of the 39 now beating the NBI. Below is the Top Ten list.
