>> By the way...Carson seems to dislike insurance companies,

No, he's making the same point that everyone else is when it comes to insurance -- patients have no skin in the game, and therefore make lousy choices. The idea that a health insurance policy ought to cover every aspect of a person's health care is ridiculous.

This is perhaps the biggest blunder in Obamacare (one of many) -- instead of ENCOURAGING policies that provide only catastrophic coverage, which is what we ought to be doing, he's outlawing them. Insurance policies covering birth control? That's an utterly stupid idea. And the fact that many policies already had such coverage is reflective of the fact that it just generates profit margin for the insurance company.

>> But if you think that what he is talking about is far apart from a universal health care system, it's not.

I have no problem with universal health coverage. I just want to minimize government involvement. Carson recognizes that as the problem, too.

I like Carson a lot -- he is everything that Obama isn't. Intelligent, thoughtful, experienced, competent, personable, and most importantly, he comprehends that everyone has to have a seat at the table -- a concept Obama still can't grasp. But I would have a difficult time choosing between he and Rand Paul in a primary.
