hi all.
"maria" says her sources said LU made a bid for $35 and ASND refused
and stated they wanted $40....... (cnbc)
geeez.............

off topic, Flip Wilson use to say 'the devil made me doit'
Now we can say 'the movie made me doit' (KY teenager)
Add that to the growing list of 'Im not responsible' phrases.

David I was just listening to Maria on CNBC, she said the same thing that was in the ASND thread post Moonray posted the link to. She said her sources, which, she say are good, told her the offer LU made was rejected by ASND. ASND wants $40 per share and is holding out for it. She also said Nortel was a suitor, she went on to say that LU would be back with another offer...according to her sources.

Two things I'm wondering about:

1) Wouldn't it be proper for ASND or LU to issue a denial to protect shareholders if it's not true, AND to not comment if it is?

2) If anyone has sources...wouldn't it be Maria. After all Diane Sawyer it said to be deep throat.
