Most folks on disability still qualify for welfare programs that costs the states some money.

The free health care benefits you refer to is Medicare. There are premiums and co-pays.

My wife would get about $1150 a month. That is not double the minimum wage.

I don't mind folks complaining, but please get the facts right.

The lawyers do not get paid directly by the Feds. They get paid by their clients if my information is correct, and it is on a contingency basis.

Looks like the California taxpayers are getting shafted again. Seems there are a lot of takers(states) who criticize the Golden State but gladly hold their hand out to to them.
