I agree with you. And if there is any confusion about what leadership is, it is NOT charisma, charm, good looks, or loud. My model for perfect leadership is Captains Lewis and Clark as they led the Corps of Discovery to the West Coast and Back, when nobody knew the way. Their men followed them through unspeakable conditions, and respected them completely. I like L&C because they collaborated with each other so effectively. In their world, the buck stopped with either one of them or both, because they both brought commitment to the same objective and supported it with vastly different but complementary qualities. I have studied Leadership just enough to be able to recognise leaders.
