Steve, as far as deficits are concerned I believe BOTH of them have done very poorly.

The BIG difference seems to be that Bush had a Republican Senate and House for his first 6 years. Even with EVERYBODY on his side he went from $500 billion in the black to $500 billion in the red in just about every year.

As far as making allies for Iran I think Bush wins THAT one hands down. When Bush came in Iraq was Iran's BIGGEST enemy. When he left they were both Shiite majorities and neither one was especially fond of the U.S.

As far as Lybia and Egypt, they're both leaning to the Sunni side so I don't see them buddying up with Iran anytime soon regardless of any overtures they may be making towards each other in the meantime. They're buddying up right now is being done in DISDAIN for the invading Americans. Bush is the MORON that caused all that.
