It was just on the news this morning that a judge gave approval for Stockton, CA to BK. The bond holders were fighting the BK and trying to get Stockton to raid the pension fund and such to pay the bonds. It should help set a precedence to get the ball rolling as other cities with similar problems were watching to see how it would play out. Run away from muni bonds...far, far away because a shitstorm is brewing.
