I agree with Warren Buffet that Options trading should be illegal. Portfolio insurance my ass. If you want insurance, sell your shares.

With options there could be outstanding calls and puts on 250% of the company's shares. Options divert capital from the companies the capital markets are set up to fund.

Options move the value of the company around in response to factors which have nothing to do with the company's success or outlook. It just matter how many options will expire when at what price.
