We are now into the early stages of the permanent history of Reagan being written, and as the liberal pseudo-historians give way to real history, Reagan's popularity will only increase. He was a great president in every respect, and an absolute model for what presidential leadership should be.

Obama mentions Reagan positively only because he thinks it will some how elevate his own legacy, which is nonsense. Obama has been a disaster and only gets worse as his signature legislation slides down the toilet.

>Frankly, in the years to come, now that the great GOP propaganda machine has been broken, I expect the history of Reagan's presidency and his impact on the country to be rewritten and to be much more negative.

Honestly, I don't believe that. Iran-Contra, probably the worst thing that happened under his (Presidential) watch, has already been basically expunged from his historical record. And don't forget that Obama, probably the most liberal President of our lifetime, cites Reagan in positive ways. I think that ship has sailed, at least for a few decades.

We'll see. I think things are getting reset now. It will take a while......maybe another generation.......but I think Reagan's tenure as president will be subject to some serious revision and he will not be considered the great president he is now. He certainly doesn't deserve that status.

I think Obama's repeated referrals to Reagan was an attempt to draw in the Rs. Since it didn't work, I think we now are seeing less of those references to Reagan from him.
