I think Obama tried to do what was best for the country given the constraints and pressing issues of the day. Now that great depression 2 fears are long gone I think we do need a bit of socialism to narrow the gap. We can go back to 'trickle down economics' and tax cuts as the answer many decades after the son of FDR undo's the mess of this second Gilded Age. We will all be dead or near centenarians by then..

The wealth disparity in this country has been ongoing for at least three decades. Its going to take a whole lot of effort to reverse it and the wealthy are going to fight it every inch of the way.

My friends were trying to tell me the economy is in the tank. Just look at all the shuttered stores. I told them they had the horse on the wrong end of the wagon: just as long as the business owners aren't broke, the workers are the last to get paid. That's basic capitalism. Things don't look rosy for Manuel Labor. Things are changing. Use your common sense and adapt.
