RW,
I would be for Obama and Bernanke's policies, if the were working, but the Labor Participation Rate screams to us that those policies are NOT working. The rate has shown a clear deterioration trend since 2009. I'm first and foremost always for what works. It is why I vote left and right both. I try new things until I find what works.

Deficit spending and money printing has not created jobs. More people than ever are on welfare and more people than ever are jobless. Time to try something new....like living within our means and writing down the unpayable debt that the criminal bankers are holding over everyone's head. And while we're at it, Bernanke needs to stop with the welfare for bankers that he's engaging in with ZIRP and money printing to prop them up. Let them get nationalized and broken up. 95% of the American people want that, according to the latest CNN poll. Obama made a mistake when he thought the American people wouldnt' stand for bank nationalization and wind downs. I'm as fiscally conservative as you can get and I want it. That means everyone to the left of me will want it to.

So government austerity is going to create employment? Hasn't worked so far... government has shed employment far and above what's happened in the private sector.

As Wharf always points out the federal government hasn't grown at this slow a pace in the post war era. Besides austerity, record wealth disparity, record WS profits and bloated overreaching military aren't the answers either this far into the game.Scary we haven't even begun to pay the piper via higher interest rates Need another housing bubble plus the next big thing it seems to grow our way out given the constraints faced by Obama.. Where is FDR or Al Gore when you need them<g>
