I have a proposal for you, Alex. How about we spend all the money you want to spend, but let's make sure we tax the people to raise the money first. Would you be willing to do that? You seem to be pretty emotional about the rightwingers and the rightwingers are pretty emotional about you guys. I have a simple solution. Meet in the middle with folks like me. My only requirement is that the budget must balance. If you want to spend $4 trillion a year, then let's raise the taxes to do it. Whether it is increasing the tax on the rich and oil companies and bankers or whatever, but let's balance the budget. Can we agree on that?
