Z, Bush and Cheney raised the deficit by quite a bit more than you give them credit for. They were responsible for the vast majority of that $1.2 trillion you like to cite for 2009, and not just the $400 million in 2008. But, but, you say that's actually "good deficit spending" because it helped prevent a crisis from turning into a catastrophe. But wait a minute. Obama is the one claiming that he did just that. It's Obama's deficit, or it's Bush's recovery. Take your pick. Tenchusatsu
