Bruce, gald it's just your opinion!<g> Ifa company indends to buy back its stock and has the cash to do so one could argue that its 100% covered by cash. If a company plans on selling stock at $20 per share please explai how selling a call at $20 and receiving a premium hurts the company? It does not matter if you or I like it. With a power drill I can drill more holes, faster and in all the wrong places, but they keep making these tools anyway. Tell me what did you think of hammers when they first came out?<g> Just kidding. But, I hope every company I own stock in at least considers the pros and cons of options.
