Obama is running trillion dollar plus deficits permanently ... he just wants to push government spending ever higher and use the deficits to get tax increases .... also ever higher. Ultimately, he's a socialist as he was raised to be. Re the ME, yes, Obama did overthrow Gaddafi. And he pushed Mubarak out of power. Obama and the Democrats have championed the 'Arab spring' as an achievement. So they own the consequences. And democracy has little to do with it. Wait and see if they become and stay democracies. As for Iraq, it was always majority Shia. I recall hearing that Sadr and Iran would be running Iraq ... but it didn't happen.
