They are passing the buck to the average citizen, ... so whats a citizen to do.

You either take all of your money out and just cash your check for immediate cash, because if your bank goes down, the Government is not going to burden the tax payers to bail you out, each bank will have to deal with things separately through the funds it holds in the many accounts.

On one of Lou's shows in recent past, he mentioned that the small community banks are perhaps the safest of all, they dont horde the large bank volume and the clients are largely local. The big City banks are the ones that will have major problems.

Just something to think about as things develop, ... like I said, ... even though I live in rural America, I've begun to lower my exposure to my banks.
