"A fertilized egg carries the building blocks of a developed human being with a brain and awareness of the world through the senses."

A fertilized egg or a Zygote is a distinct Human being already. You may want to argue that killing another Human being is irrelevant as long as they are not fully developed but then logically you would have to say that killing toddlers is less offensive that killing teens and killing teens is less offensive than killing adults.

Human life starts at conception. That's a scientific fact that all the name calling in the world can't change.

Killing your innocent progeny for the mere sake of convenience is immoral at any stage of development.

Calling sperm and eggs "progeny" (and human life) is rather puerile and inappropriate--and certainly not supportive of honest discussion. Get a grip on yourself. Put your concern and care , if you truly have any on living, breathing, actuated, individuated human persons (and other living, breathing, and sentient creatures).

And that's it in a nutshell isn't it, this is where the real discussion should begin but doubt if you'll ever get this fool to adress this or ever respond , such dishonesty is rife with a dogmatist.

This decision was so well done & reflects the sanity & reason that is starting to manifest in the higher courts reflecting a reality that is not dominated by the right wing & their once imposed popular platforms (always religiously linked). We have seen too many instances in the past centuries of mixing intractable religious based agendas with politics, they got away with it here for 3 decades & made for sickening bedfellows. It is clear that higher district courts of the land will now take over with highly seasoned intellects who will interpret & define law as it relates to human rights & human access to care.
