One reason I'm interested in trying an exchange is that my current policy through Blue Cross/Blue Shield is conveniently 'grandfathered' in regard to the new provisions of the ACA where they cover stuff like colonoscopies and preventive tests, along with wellcare visits. I've read that for people in their fifties the new policies may be 'price favorable' because insurance companies used to be able to charge up to five times as much as they do for younger policy holders, that now drops to three times.... I hope they don't delay things like they just did with the small business exchange choices, but there have been a LOT of roadblocks thrown in front of the law over the past few years, so who knows...
