Zenith has been doing virtually nothing to get its story out to Wall Street. Is this a sin of omission or commission?

1. No attempt has been made by Zenith to announce its recent Time Warner Roadunner, cable-modem contract:

News & Press Nov. 25

This is huge news. If Time Warner employs Zenith's cable modems in its new installations, this is a potential $1 billion plus contract.

2. The Sky STB contract also is potentially huge. A possible multi-billion dollar plus deal if extended beyound Latin America. ZE has been very noncommital about this possibility.

3. No news regarding the new ceo.

4. no news on upcoming HDTV, SDTV and NCTV plans.

If these items (Zenith's very low-key DTV, NCTV, STB and cable modem profile) are merely omission oversights, it's understandable. Zenith has much on the table and keeping Wall Street informed may be a low priority. Also, with Pete Willmott still at the helm, all shareholders interests remain well represented.

However, if its intentional (my read, not), we're likely facing a similar Samsung/AST Research scenario. Grab the necessary technolgy, maximize the losses, hide potential business from the media/investors and tender an offer for the remaining shares at pennies on our dollars.

It is imperative that all ZE minority shareholders be prepared for any scenario. Many thousands of us have invested our savings into Zenith and have supported Zenith for years. To be duped at this late stage of transition from red ink into profitability would be criminal-like behavior requiring all of us to band together to employ the best investigative and legal talent that money can buy to defend our interests.

The answer will be evidenced by the selection of Zenith's new ceo. Give us a strong and independent, world-class executive and it's a win/win deal for all. Conversely, if no ceo is announced within the next 30 days (coupled with a tender announcement) or LGE places one of their own at the Zenith helm, it's going to be one bloody fight and a lose/lose deal for all concerned. That's a given...
