Yep. Cannot intermingle Trad IRA and Roth. So I set up new Trad IRA accounts (for me and wife) to handle the "temporary" non-deductible contributions. They will then be converted to Roth IRAs.

Thanks for posting. The etrade guy was wrong called about it. I was in process of setting up new accounts just to be safe anyway. My new accounts are established and all is well now.
