Nice post Roland, you forgot to mention Caprius's Aurora is such a system.. Now full body scan are 1000-1500 and Aurora scans are or were
in the 300-400 dollar range..maybe higher. That is a cost adder that is driven from necesity and desire to provide quality care for patients with xray opaque breasts and other complications and as such is the Ace in the hole for a radilogy practice.
The rub is that you probably will not cover the R&D cost by just selling such a machine. It actually needs to be leased or something so
it covers the costs and provides fair return on investment... because its not a high volume type commodity.
