Big excitement here in tiny CT over our eighth women's national title, tying Tennessee for #1 all-time. The UConn men and women are now 11-0 combined in national championship games. Louisville had a good run, but a #5 seed in the women's game is like a #10 seed in the men's game. Once freshman Breanna Stewart started to become a factor, which really began in the tournament, the entire team took a quantum leap forward. Our average margin of victory in the tournament was 35. I got to see this team a couple of times up in Storrs, and you always knew they had great potential. It's really special to see all those banners hanging from the walls of the Gampel Pavillion which is situated on a campus really in the middle of nowhere, even by CT standards.
