You can't really blame Greg for being frightened, the real world can be a scary place. Since he has no real faith he must join a little tribe (the tribe of Bert) of other people who have no credentials. They can then profess what good submitters they are. Greg has shared with us like a good little chimp his past drug abuse how it destroyed his ability to see similarities, instead only differences.
