Barring set back Utley will get all votes from comeback player of the year. His triple tonight was AWESOME. Phils big problem they are easily in the BEST DIVISION in the Major Leagues. The power rankings fot the 32 MLB teams this week ranks Braves the #1 team in baseball now, and the Nats the #2 team in the Majors. Phils to get in playoffs need play 500 in the division and plus 20 outside of their division. That would give them a 90-72 record and i believe give them the 2nd wild card position for playoffs. Cripes we are 5-5 and in 4th place:( Max. Lannan has pitched two good games back to back. It's something to see when Bastardo is in gear--three batters three K's. Triviam Bastardo as the highest strikeouts per inning pitched in base. He has been running 14.5 K's per 9 innings! Max.

So glad I reported exactly one week ago that the Phils were having no trouble scoring runs and that the pitching just needed to tighten up a bit. Well the latter happened (with the exception of what's going on with Lannan right now) but now hitting has all but disappeared. Team looks lost at the plate. That Ben Revere grab on the run was the highlight of the year for me....just spectacular! We need more spectacular or it may be ugly against the Cards at home this weekend.
