on your chart you could add before the first box about the time Lehman collapsed...

A: "Banks will fail, stock market going to zero"

then now we could see the reverse on the far right side:

B: "The end of civilization was greatly exaggerated."

That should mark what happens and what Ed Yardeni said he feared this AM:

Yardeni's worry would be the mirror of the market reaction to A....

QE changes cash to "spend it if you got it" where you buy stuff or invest in in stuff that pays a dividend better than inflation AND profits from low wages..... sitting in cash with a thumb in assets complaining about QE has not been profitable for most....

Of course, a bear could come out of nowhere as they usually do... so I'm balanced...
