There are people who struggle to come up with the docs necessary to get the photo ID that states like PA required.
Lot of people struggle with paperwork. It's amazing how these people can even file a tax return or apply for government benefits.

Voter ID laws don't need to be complicated at all. Even a photo on the ID may be a little too much, not to mention fees for stuff that should be covered by the state anyway.

You can focus your energy on those "evil Republicans" who want to tilt the vote in their favor. I for one will advocate simple, common sense voter registration. If the process is being used or twisted for nefarious purposes, that should be dealt with.

That makes more sense than gutting the whole system just to avoid offending anyone or trying to cater to the hopelessly incompetent.
