What happened today. Dow Jones released a newswire story today(12-4-97) at about 9:30 am EST, about statements made by Cephalon at the Robertson Stephens biotech conference, that they WILL have approvals for myotrophin and provigil by year's end. This is what started the mass volume and price movement. Cephalon quickly made denials of making these statements and Dow Jones removed the newswire,.......... although Dow Jones later re-itterated ( about 2:30 pm EST) they were sticking by their story.
