Sorry to learn of your friend. I'm sure he/she is representative of so many these days.. I pray for all.. especially those suffering mentally. <financially depression> Yes, money comes and goes... and life can be tough w/o it but to be saddled w/ a medical condition can sure make life miserable. Funny you should mention your grandfather.. Mine was a wealthy land and grocery owner in Chicago area...During the depression he offered credit on both his merchandise as well as unit rental. He lost on both accounts, Had to liquidate and the banks took it all... Not sure if I'd rather never of had it or had it and lost it... Either would be a tough one to carry.
