Hi getgo234....56789... takeoff! (just kidding)

Hmmm... ASND... Paying very little attention to that stock these days my good man... Don't know... Feeling was that they screwed up because they had problems with product transitions in TNT and 56KFlex. As mentioned earlier their indication of 56KFlex installations appearing to be beating X2 installations and the problems 3Com is having with inventory (X2 modems not selling) makes me believe that perhaps, just perhaps the modem problem is over.

That's good news. On TNT I think the issue has not imploded on them and they have go things settled. But I do not follow the company close enough to be certain.

Which is not bad. Very bad was the officers and directors selling in droves once the 6 month period ended. Thought at that time that indicated long term problems and not just s/t product transition issues. Then we seee CSCO appearing to encroach on ASND's market in bigger and bigger chunks.

Not good at all. And once again difficult to decide if this is a s/t or l/t problem. The big 800 lb. Gorilla is pushing that's for certain but ASND appears to be holding reasonably well - esp. in international arena. Which would then bring up SEA capital spending concerns...

Maria the good looking Bartiromo said LU offered $35 for ASND but ASND rejected feeling that 40 was minimum. Indications are that LU would raise offer. Which is a very good thing (But didn't LU make an acquisition in a similar area a few months ago? I seem to remember something like this that squashed the ASND takeover talks.)

In summary my guess is that ASND troubles with product transition may have passed but that it will continue to have troubles from CSCO, yet there is a chance if the moons sit well the company could pull through and get back to its winning ways. Or maybe LU will save us and just buy ASND out - simplifies life. Or better maybe there'll be a bidding war and I actually could make some money off my ASND. As I indicated yesterday a fair price to me seems $35 at this point. The drop to $22 was the "I'm disgusted with this piece of junk" effect. Hopefully in the next few months the 30's will be tested.

And I'll stop calling it DSND...
