Yes, Gold Bugs is a racist pejorative. But like so many stereotypes, it's near enough for government work and fits the generalisation very well. "QCOM Bugs" doesn't quite have the same sense to it. "Qcommies" or "Qcomaniacs" might work a bit better to suggest that investors in QCOM have lost sight of the actual value being produced and have sailed off into the realm of ideology or irrationality. Gold bugs don't produce something of value, unlike Qcommies who produce something wanted by everyone [mobile Cyberspace]. Gold bugs just dig something up in one place at enormous expense, put it back underground somewhere else in expensive storage complete with guards [possibly untrustworthy] and hope for some speculative gains sometime in the future. Some Gold Bugs might argue that they are preparing the money of the future so that when government money collapses, there is something waiting to take over from it. That's an understandable idea, though it is not going to happen so it's fairyland stuff. Calling Jim Jones a Kool-Aider would also be pejorative. He would say he was a "theological trader", or "philosophical investor", or "mortality insurer", or "supernatural bull". But Kool-Aider is apt. Mqurice
