I don't have an issue with people getting their SS or Medicare - they paid for it - we owe them. <--- this turns into an entirely different discussion of tossing around the word entitlement like it's a 4 letter word. People paid into SS & Medi and there would be a much smaller issue had Washington NOT SPENT ALL THE MONEY I don't even have a problem with people needing food and or medical because they lost their job. It actually serves us well to have a person eating right and in good health so that they can be productive. It's not a way of life but it's a good short term solution What I DO have a problem with is a govt. that has created a situation where the economy is so bad, good jobs are so scarce and benefits have been messed with SO MUCH that we now have a new working class. That being full time workers that make so little that they need a government health & meal plan. The above cycle is totally new - I'm 47 years old and I've NEVER seen anything like it. Obama owns a good part of this new cycle but its got to stop.
