I.N.: I know people are worried, and all have expressed valid concerns regarding CEO timeliness, etc.. But in the larger context, ie. CR selling off only 7% of his holdings........meaning he still has a 93% stake in VLNC's outcome, it should assuage concerns reflecting suspicions of VLNC's worth. I tend to agree with your viewpoint fo retiring to enjoy his 93% stake blossuming according to all our speculative hopes.
That said I do feel MM's, and their like, thrive on chaos, and use every negative opportunity to cash in for themselves(one of the seductive principles of inserting yourself between EVERY buy/sell, indeed, to a very real extent even controlling the Bid, or Ask depending on the side they choose to take. MM's call this "making a market" in a company's shares. I call it manipulation.
So my thoughts to everyone are to recognized this fact, which when combined with tax-loss selling and the probable attractiveness of VLNC to day-trader types, means that for the short term we should expect VLNC to be a volatile trading vehicle. At least thru year-end. Owning some of the competition(ie. ULBI) may smooth the peaks and valleys of your VLNC holding and ain't a bad "hedging" stance to take......at least thru year-end.

Just some thoughts.
