OT - The ultimate Trading Station

One can get carried away. These two w/ the built in chair are nice.

Any idea if/when an Android Quad Core machine will come out that can drive three monitors and run the Citrix VM. I still think MSFT/INTEL build option provides the most flexibility but I bet an ANDROID Google devise is in the works (from Motorola).

Paul - You might be too "old school" for one of these.

These are the things we work on here in Silicon Valley.

OT: John Koligman: Just what I want!! ---- I want to play with the big boys' toys.

Will a rig like yours help me to better find and/or buy stocks? (Assuming there's hope for me.) -g-

Nice set-up. I see now from your link that there are several companies that offer complete systems for traders.
Not that I consider myself a trader, but the idea of a complete ready-to-go system appeals to me.

I went the other way and mostly use my ipad (interactive broker and etrade app), my phone (android, same brokers). It's mostly because i cannot trade at work anyways. So check the market conditions in the morning before and put in limit orders, which either execute or not. Sometime, I check the quotes on my phone and adjust my orders accordingly, but most of the time, I'll just let it ride. I did not find it makes that much difference to follow quotes tick by tick.

As E_K_S explained, I set alerts that sent an SMS to my phone when a predetermined price target is crossed or when a trade is executed.

Even when at home, I like the convenience of the ipad and use it as I type this in fact. I also have an Dell Ultrabook that I am using as well. I use my desktop (5 year old machine) maybe 10% of the time.
