(NEWSER) – Yet one more strange detail in the case of the Elvis impersonator and conspiracy theorist accused ofsending toxic letters to the president and Mississippi Sen. Roger Wicker. It seems that Wicker once hired the guy to, yes, impersonate Elvis, reports CNN. "He entertained at a party that my wife and I helped give for a young couple that was getting married," recalls the senator. "He was quite entertaining." Wicker, who represented Paul Kevin Curtis' district as a congressman years ago, adds that he suspects the mental health of Curtis had gone downhill since, reports the Hill.

I'm not sure what use your description of "human life" is then. Pro-lifers are not arguing that its "human life" or even that "live begins at conception" although that is the language they use. What they are arguing for is that it should be treated the same, i.e. it has the same value. So the death of this "human life" whether its 25 years old, a new born, 3'rd trimester, or a zygote should be treated as equally serious issues.

What I'm pointing out is that despite people claiming this is what they believe, nobody seems to actually act that way wrt to zygotes. In fact, they act oblivious to the issue. Pro-lifers what to extent legal protection back conception (banning morning after pills as murder) but they seem to care not a wit that any couple trying to conceive with the woman in her 40's is likely to "conceive" and kill multiple (perhaps dozens) of "human lives" and nobody gives a damn. If those really were "human lives" someone should give a damn. Why don't they?
