No, that's not their hope. The North Sea developments are light years away from fruition. Their hope is that the court will not accept the winning bid(s), which seems quite likely. They will then have the opportunity to screw the ORRI/NPI holders in the adversary proceedings, which is also looking increasingly likely. That would create some value for the bond holders, no doubt about it. As for the business itself, it's totally discredited and most probably fucked up beyond repair.
