But they don't get jailed for accidents not caused by neglect. Nor should they get jailed for natural miscarriages. Accidents and miscarriages are a hazard of life.

I don't have to recast anything as being "passive natural causes." Passive natural causes are a fact of life.

If a couple consistently produced babies which died shortly after birth, the bulk of people would get fed up with them if they kept it up.

Only because people would suspect something other than passive natural causes were at hand.
