<off topic>> From today's Motley Fool "lunchtime news":

The company had previously stated that sales in the fourth quarter would be constrained by its available fabrication capacity -- all of 3Dfx's products are manufactured by TSMC in Taiwan. The company's order backlog exceeded its ability to supply the chips. Management announced that the situation will ease somewhat for the fourth quarter and will be even less of an impediment in the first quarter of 1998.

I'm sure 3Dfx will want TSMC to push the technology envelope to sub .25 micron designs for its next generation Voodoo/Banshee chipsets just like the microprocessor/memory makers. Can't be bad for Cymer.

Gary.
