Eric,
Makes a compelling argument for being armed - all those people in Boston hiding in their homes while a madman is running around armed.

And the counterargument would be that with all of the police and SWAT going around searching door-to-door, you probably don't want to show up to the door armed, as that will immediately tag you as a suspect or a harborer.
