There are a few hints that some elements of our intelligence community suspected an attack on the Boston marathon. A former Army Ranger I happened to talk to yesterday mentioned that people working for Craft International (I'd never heard of this outfit till he mentioned it) , founded by Chris Kyle, were in Boston prior to the attack. They do high level training and security work. Also there were bomb sniffing dog teams in Boston at the start and end of the marathon BEFORE the explosions, supposedly doing a training exercise. The older brother, Tamerlan, had spent 6 months out of the country (flew to Moscow - who knows where he went from there) a couple years ago. He probably received training in bomb making during this trip. A foreign intelligence agency (Russia?) inquired to the FBI about him after he returned and Tamerlan was interviewed by the FBI but they found no problem with him. If Tamerlan recruited his 19 yo brother and was the leader of this little cell, perhaps he was given instructions by some higher level handler re when to make the attack. We've been told AQ is going to try to recruit Muslims already living in the US to do attacks rather than bring in foreigners from abroad. Think of Hassan at Ft Hood, the Times Square bomber, etc. and now the Tsarnaev brothers. UM Coach: Bomb Sniffing Dogs, Spotters on Roofs Before Explosions ..... University of Mobile’s Cross Country Coach, who was near the finish line of the Boston Marathon when a series of explosions went off, said he thought it was odd there were bomb sniffing dogs at the start and finish lines. "They kept making announcements to the participants do not worry, it's just a training exercise," Coach Ali Stevenson told Local 15. Stevenson said he saw law enforcement spotters on the roofs at the start of the race. He's been in plenty of marathons in Chicago, D.C., Chicago, London and other major metropolitan areas but has never seen that level of security before. It’s unclear who the man on the right is. Documents have been presented to Congress confirming that plans were made to revoke the visa of Abdul Rahman Ali Alharbi, a Saudi national once considered a “person of interest” in the Boston bombings, a congressional source told TheBlaze on Thursday. Other sources, including one at the FBI, previously informed TheBlaze that there have been discussions about deporting Alharbi on “security and related grounds.” He has been living in the Boston area and in the U.S. on a student visa. An FBI source said the agency is against deporting Alharbi because of his status as a material witness. The congressional source told TheBlaze it was unclear as to why representatives from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) would be unaware of this information. Earlier on Thursday, an official with ICE said it was “categorically false” that Alharbi had ever been considered for deportation. The congressional source, however, said the information sent to Congress showed that a file was created on “Abdul Rahman Ali Al Harby” at 4 p.m. on Tuesday by an official with the National Targeting Center, a counterterrorism sub-agency of U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the Department of Homeland Security. The file stated that the individual is “linked to the Boston bombing” and was to be processed for revocation of his visa based on national security grounds, the congressional source revealed. The source confirmed seeing the information sent to members of Congress but could not provide copies of any documents to TheBlaze. It is unclear why federal officials allegedly believed Alharbi was “linked” to the Boston Marathon attack. Simply being present at the scene could possibly result in such a distinction. The source could not reveal if Alharbi knew or has ever been in contact with the two suspects in the Boston bombings identified by the FBI on Thursday. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano had a fiery exchange with Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-S.C.) during a House hearing Thursday morning over reports that Al Alharbi is being considered for deportation. Napolitano refused to entertain a question regarding if it would be “negligence” to deport someone who just days ago was a person of interest. Glenn Beck to Regime: You’ve Got Until Monday To Come Clean on the Saudi National This time I'm hoping that Glenn Beck is wrong. We (the country) are having another huge run on ammunition this week, and I don't think it's related to Boston specifically. I think the people that were expecting the worst, and no longer trust the government at all, NOR the lapdog media, are going to be vindicated.......real soon. I hope I'm wrong, but my gut says we are getting real close.
