Bentway, anyone who says they know there is no god is stupid. How could they know for sure?

I was talking more about the logic of semantics.

I am an atheist Bentway. I believe there is no god, but I don't know for sure.

<< think your changing definitions, Koan. I know quite a few atheists who tell me there is no God with total certainty. Agnostics admit they don't know one way or another. You're an agnostic

I think there is another way to look at it.....For purposes of discussing religion with most people I am comfortable with asserting I am an atheist since I believe there is no "personal god", ie a god that looks after a person or persons as most religious people believe. But I am, on a technical level, an agnostic because I don't know what created or caused the universe to come into being.
