Sorry, trying to make Nietzsche just some sort of prophet against nihilism isn't factual. He didn't just foresee nihilism in western culture, he provided a philosophical foundation for it. Seriously, just consider the titles and phrases he originated: The Ubermensch (Overman), The Antichrist, Beyond Good and Evil, the death of God, the will to power, .... nihilism is a natural product of his view of moral philosophy. "I praise, I do not reproach, [nihilism's] arrival. I believe it is one of the greatest crises, a moment of the deepest self-reflection of humanity. Whether man recovers from it, whether he becomes master of this crisis, is a question of his strength!"
