The unemployment rate went up for everyone during the recession. As with other recessions, the unemployment rate for people in Democrat controlled parts of the country is the first to go up; the one for everyone else is the last. In recovery, the unemployment rate for everyone else is the first to come down and for people in Democrat controlled parts of the country, the last.

Government gets more of what it pays for - they lower standards for food stamps, education and welfare and they get dumber democrat voters every year.
